It´s time again: from 18 to 23 March, Internorga opens its doors. Already for the 85 time, the trade fair for hotel and catering trade, canteen meals, bakeries and confectionieries takes place in Hamburg. Handschuch becomes partner of Münchener Boulevard Möbel
MBM becomes partner of company Handschuch in Regensburg, Germany. Recently, the furniture producers introduced the highlights of their current collection during a yearly celebration of the hotel and catering trade fitters.

Regensburg, May 2010. Approx. 500 visitor have been invited to the yearly celebration at Handschuch, the fitters of the hotel and catering trade in Regensburg. For the third time, the company organized an exhibition for the hotel and catering trade. Münchener Boulevard Möbel GmbH was present for the first time in order to present their furniture collection as well as their innovation Resysta Flooring.

„For many years, I have been elated by the range of MBM, especially by their stainless steel lines. MBM exhibits at international catering trade fair in Salzburg, Austria
MBM again exhibited at "Alles für den Gast" in Salburg, Austria, from 6 to 10 November 2010. The trade fair for hotel and catering was held 41th time this year - a show with tradition. Overall 45.120 visitors came to see the innovations in the exhibition centre of Salzburg.

Also MBM benefited from this - the current furniture collection invited to take seat and thus gave the visitors a short break from the highly frequented fair. „A successful fair also needs the communication with our visitors. We received great attencion at „Alles für den Gast“ which encourages us - we are on the right track“, says Roland Stoiber, Export and Marketing Manager of Münchener Boulevard Möbel GmbH.
Also the specialized dealers present are convinced by the outdoor lines of MBM. „Dealers are aware that we do not only produce stylish, but also high quality furniture which is absolutely weather resistant. Therefore, we are looking forward to a successfull season 2011“, says Mr Stoiber.

Plastics are „Out“ – Wood Causes Problems – Resysta is the Solution
In order to fully take advantage of the summer season 2010, owners of open air catering should think about new equipment for their outdoor area. Old tables and worn out chairs do only drive off potential guests. Every year, owners of beer gardens are struggeling with the question keep or replace the furniture? MBM Discontinues Processing of Tropical Wood
For the coming season 2010, Münchener Boulevard Möbel GmbH completely discontinues the processing of tropical wood in their plants. Thus, the company commits to sustainable and environmentally friendly materials and actively contributes to the climate protection.
|
For many years, the company has been working on the development of materials, which are resistant to the elements on the one, and require low maintenance on the other hand. Another condition is to use environmentally friendly materials with an appealing look and feel. It took an intensive research of more than ten years to find the perfect „wood“ to be used outdoors and for wet areas. With Resysta, the company managed to develop a material that looks and feels like wood and requires low maintenance at the same time.
Word Innovation Resysta – The Future Material The material’s formula of success is: approx. 60 percent rice husk, approx. 22 percent common salt and approx. 18 percent mineral oil. Thus, Resysta is 100 percent wood-free. „With Resysta we developed a groundbreaking world novelty. MBM-House in Berlin - Opening
A house full of good ideas and guests – to describe the opening on Saturday evening, 24 January 2009, in Dallgow-Döberlitz shortly.

Host and manager Nicole Willems invited for the big opening. That evening, approx. 300 guests took seat on MBM furniture pieces to have a chat, enjoy the show-cooking, have a snack prepared on the original Weber barbecue or simply relish the atmosphere. The ample shop offers lots of space for the presentation of the complete MBM Collection which has been combined with high-quality accessories in the best of taste by Nicole Willems. Beautiful arrangements inspire customers to create their home. Moreover, the MBM House offers a 400 sm outdoor area which, understandably, could not be used at the opening (on 24 January 2009 it had minus 6°!). However, with the start of the season the MBM garden is pretty busy. Good luck and success to the whole team in Dallgow-Döberlitz!

MBM & the Sea
AIDAluna – new in the AIDA fleet - has just been prepared for its maiden voyage from Hamburg to Mallorca. On board: MBM Puro Lounge Group on the balconies of the noble suites of this most beautiful ship.
|
On 21 February 2009, AIDAluna left the shipyard Meyer in Papenburg towards the North Sea. In the early morning of 22 February the “Beauty” arrived at Emskai in Emden where hundreds of people watched the spectacular transfer along the riverside. The ship was then fitted with the remaining furniture and hotel equipment as well as supplies. On 16 March the shipyard Meyer officially passed AIDAluna on to AIDA Cruises. The ceremonial launch was celebrated on 4 April in Palma de Mallorca with guests like the star-violinist David Garrett, the band PUR as well as the international top model Franziska Knuppe als godmother.

There is no better way to present outdoor furniture. The new MBM showroom in Uruguay is situated in La Barra, on a hill with oceanview. MBM shares this shop with an interior architect and a company for decoration articles. The MBM Collection is set up in the outdoor area, whereas the other two companies exhibit inside. This new shop in La Barra is the logical consequence of our activities in South America. With already two shops in Argentina it was obvious to also be present in the „South American St. Tropez“: Punta del Este is the Hot-Spot of South America!

„Why change? It still works! “ Of course, that´s a legitimate question. We probably could have gone on with our classic „Manhattan“ for some time, it was a quite successful collection over a long time. However, sometimes we want more and we had the feeling that this range still could be improved. So we set work on refreshing the classic. It should become more filigree, lighter and get a more modern „outfit“. The result shows that the courage was worth it. After its re-working the line “Manhattan Novo” (nearly) has the same cult status like its predecessor. We do not mind if it stays like this for some time!
